A common mantra of the anti-trans crowd is “God does not make mistakes.”
When a child dies of leukemia, the same people say, “God works in mysterious ways.”
Which is it? If God does not make mistakes, then he meant to kill off that child. Why? Because He works in mysterious ways. Okay, so if He works in mysterious ways, perhaps He meant to give that woman a penis.
Getting gender affirming healthcare is not saying that God made a mistake any more than treating a child for leukemia is (or wearing glasses, or taking Viagra, or…). For the religious transgender person, it’s saying: God works in mysterious ways. God gave me parts that don’t match my soul. I don’t know why, but perhaps it’s so that I’ll learn through changing them.
So again, which is it? If God works in mysterious ways, then what’s to say that getting corrective surgery is wrong? If God never makes mistakes, then why are all these religious people getting health care?
Picking which perspective you’d like to take in order to suit your narrative brings to mind another verse, Romans 12:19. I’ll let you look that one up yourself.
(And all of this assumes that everyone is beholden to your particular interpretation of God. I am an Atheist. I would just like everyone to act as consistently as possible within their own faith system.)
