in that order

Posted on April 4, 2024April 4, 2024 by Clio

in the morning
as i leave for work:
i start the car,
back out of the garage,
close the garage door,
and put on my seat belt

in that order

i’m annoyed by the nagging chime
reminding me to put on my seatbelt
but it’s part of the routine

if i don’t hear it,
i will wonder
(halfway to work)
if i left the garage door open

so

i can’t change my routine
and put my seat belt on first
to make things less annoying
because

in the morning
as i leave for work:
i start the car,
back out of the garage,
close the garage door,
and put on my seat belt
